Being Accepted To Write For FireHow

It has been too long since I have update my blog, so the journey will continue with the next writing gig that I applied for and was hired with. The company name is Fire How, which is where a person can go and write "How To" type of articles of anything they choose from home repair, cooking, crafts, etc. The difference between this type of site and others that are out there is this site is based on revenue share. Revenue share basically means that I do not receive pay for the submission of an article, but instead I get paid for every view that I receive when a person visits one of my articles. There is a minimum payout of $10 to be reached before you will be paid through paypal. In order to help with the views of your articles there are connections, which is where you can go and make friends with others on the site. The more friends you have the more people will visit your articles. You can also share your article links on facebook, twitter, myspace, and any social network to help gain traffic to your articles. I am going to list my articles here that I have completed so far so if anyone would like to see them feel free to take a peak. Don't worry I will not hold it against you if you don't. :)

What Company Gave Me My First Opporunity

During the course of deciding whether or not I wanted to become a freelance writer I came across a website called www.textbroker.com. From what I read on the forums at wahm.com this company hired those with minimal experience, so I figured I would sign up. When you apply you are submit a writing sample, which be graded from a 2-5 with two being the lowest and a 5 the highest.

The purpose of the grading system allows the editors to provide you with articles in which best your writing skills. The site is setup so you can only claim the articles in your tier level or lower. You do have the option of moving up the grading scale, and it is based how the editors feel you are doing with your assignments. The assignments themselves range in word length, pay, and the research that is needed for completion. The company pays twice per month via paypal for work that is completed, and then accepted.

The Purpose of my blog

Hi all,

The purpose of this blog is a way for me to document my journey as a freelance writer. Writing has always been a part of my life throughout school, writing poetry, short stories, etc. Recently, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to pursue writing on another level. I have been working from home for approximately four years now, and with the help of a website called www.wahm.com, I have found friends who are extremely knowledgeable in the freelance writing field.

I hope to continue these friendships, and share with all of you my journey as I head out to become a freelance writer.
